Michael started the business at a young age, learning the trade inside and out. Throughout the years of growing the company, he received several awards for his achievements in entrepreneurship, including the Entrepreneur of the Year Award (2008), presented by the Canadian Business Development Center.
After graduating from high school Michael received a full scholarship from the Garfield Weston Merit Scholarships for College (GWMSC). GWMSC is a scholarship program designed to recognize exemplary collage students who are passionate about their field of study and are interested in helping their communities. Michael chose to study at NSCC Kingstec where he received his Horticulture & Landscape Technology diploma.
Since 2009, he has built the business into one of the leading landscape companies in the Annapolis Valley.
Michael’s wife, Althea, officially joined the company in 2019, together growing the company into a multidisciplinary enterprise that employs some of the most qualified and professional staff. With help from the most advanced and reliable equipment the industry has to offer.
They offer a wide range of services from: Landscape Construction & Maintenance; Residential Construction & Renovation; Snow Removal & Ice Control; Excavation & Dump Truck Services; Commercial Cleaning & Janitorial Supplies. They won Valley’s Best Contractor/Construction/Reno/Repair (2020), presented by Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce & were a nominee for Valley’s Best Horticulture Business (2021).
As much as the company has grown over the recent years, they have not lost touch of that small business feel & will support their community whenever they get the chance.
